    The Science of Longevity Supplements: Exploring Their Role in Enhancing Healthspan

But what science relates to these longevity supplements, and can they contribute to a longer, healthier life? Delve into these health boosters, exploring their potential benefits and limitations.

    A Brief Overview

    First and foremost, it should be understood exactly what these supplements are before getting into the science of them. Such supplements would include food supplements and would be formulated to support and optimise natural ageing processes taking place in the body.

    Antioxidants and Their Role in Longevity

    Antioxidants are among the significant elements in most of the supplements.

    Antioxidants work against oxidative stress, whereby the latter causes most diseases related to ageing and the fact of ageing. A breach has arisen in the case where the free radicals and antioxidants are in our bodies. In the long run, this imbalance can lead to cellular damage and hasten ageing.
